Pre-cut steel package — Components arrive on site pre-cut and labeled. Less waste, less site error.
Anchored to slab — Heavy-duty anchor systems tie your home to its foundation in a way wood simply can't.

  • Generally, the materials cost more than equivalent wood framing — but the gap has narrowed significantly in recent years. When you factor in long-term insurance savings, zero termite costs, and longer lifespan, the total cost of ownership often favors steel.

  • Yes — and the trend is positive. As Florida buyers become more educated about hurricane resilience and termite damage, steel-framed homes are commanding price premiums in many markets.

  • Not significantly. Interior non-load-bearing walls can be modified similar to wood. We always provide as-built plans so future renovations are smooth.

  • Yes — and that's part of why you hire a builder like MPG who knows steel. Our trade partners are vetted and experienced with steel-frame builds. We don't send rookies to your home.

  • For a custom single-family home: typically 8-14 months depending on size, finishes, and permitting. The framing stage is often faster than wood.
